Busy Summer!

WOW - where to I start. Basically since April the Hebden's haven't slowed down. From our trip to the beach and going home about every other week, we have been very busy.

To start with we went to the beach in April with JuJu and Poppy. We had a great time together and can't wait to do it again. I was a little chilly the first few days but in all the weather was great.

Jason & I celebrated our 7th Anniversay while we were down there. What a coincidence that Jason would also loose his wedding band the very next night. We were at dinner and sitting outside on the deck. Jason was twirling his wedding band on his finger and it fell off between the slats on the deck. We were just sick. We went back the next morning in hopes of getting the ring back... even if we had to tear the deck apart.
Luckly Poppy is small enough to squeeze under the deck and after a long atempt they were able to retrieve it. At the time the situation was not funny but now we have a great story to tell.

More summer fun to come....

17th Century Nun's Prayer

I was given this during a bible study I was taking last year and found it the other day. I needed to hear this.

Lord, you know better than I know myself that I am growing older and will someday be old. Keep me from the fatal habit if thinking I must say something on every subject and on every occasion. Release me from the craving to straighten out everybody's affairs. Make me thoughtful, but not moody; helpful, but not bossy. With my vast strore of wisdom, it seems a pity not to use it all, but you know, Lord, that I want a few friends at the end.

Keep my mind free from the endless recital of details, give me wings to get to the point. Seal my lips on my aches and pains. They are increseaing, and the love of rehearsing them is becomeing sweeter as the years go by. I dare not ask for grace enough to enjoy the tales of others' pains, but help me to endure them with patience.

I dare not ask for imporved memory, but for a growing humility and a lessening cocksureness when my memory seems to clash with the memories of others. Teach me the glorious lesson that occasionally- I may be mistaken. Keep me reasonably sweet. I do not want to be a saint - some of them are so hard to live with - but a sour old person is one of the crowning works of the devil. Give me the ability to see good things in unexpected places, and talent in unexpected people. And give me, Lord, the grace to tell them so. AMEN

Like Father... Like Daughter

We bought Olivia a potty and this was her first time to sit on it. She immediately went for the reading material.
